Magdalena Stefanowicz began playing the flute at the age of 9 at Z. Noskowski Primary Music School Gdynia, in her home country of Poland. Her teacher there was Mrs Dorota Kaczmarczyk, who instilled in Magdalena, her passion for music. Her goal became the recreation of the beauty and emotion found in music. Under the guidance of Mrs Kaczmarczyk, Magdalena took part in both solo and chamber music competitions in Poland, as well as flute masterclasses. It was here that she met prof. Elzbieta Dastych Szwarc, who two years later, invited Magdalena to study with her. In 2001, she began her studies with prof. Szwarc at K.Szymanowski Secondary Music School, where she stayed for two years. 2003 saw Magdalena at the St.Moniuszko Academy of Music studying under Prof. Krzysztof Langman. Between 2004 and 2007 she was with the Chamber Music Class led by prof. Wojciech Orawiec, renowned by public and students for his great musical taste and character. She spent an unforgettable 3 months in Canada, working and performing with musicians (people if not only musicians) from all over the world. After that she moved to Austria to study in the Erasmus program with prof. Nils Thilo Krämer at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst, Graz.
